Graves Jr. started his musical career with the group Ronnie and the
Daytonas, with the hit song "Little GTO."
For the past few years he has been touring with his father, Dobro legend, Uncle Josh Graves, and Kenny Baker. Before playing with Uncle Josh and Kenny, Josh Jr. was a police officer in Hendersonville, TN and retired after 28 1/2 years of service. Josh Jr. is a multi-instrumentalist, playing drums, guitar and bass. He is also a lead and harmony vocalist, having played with such greats as Ferlin Husky, The Compton Brothers, Carl Smith and the Earl Scruggs Review. He was front man for Jeannie C. Riley, Jimmy Case & The Cherokees and the Claude Gray Show. He also performed with his own group, Buck Creek. Josh Jr. is very versatile with his music and can entertain any audience with Country, Bluegrass, Gospel, and Rock & Roll. His quick wit and sense of humor is very contagious and will keep an audience on the edge of their seat wondering what he'll do next. |
